The University of Kansas and Off-Campus Advantage have teamed up to bring the KU Card Beak ‘Em Bucks program aboard the Off-Campus Advantage network. Students use their KU Card as their official university ID, for building access, and for a variety of on-campus purchases including printing, photocopying, laundry, and food purchases. They can also link their KU Card to a Commerce Bank KU Checking Account and use it as a limited debit and ATM card. With Off-Campus Advantage, students are now able to use their KU Card Beak ‘Em Bucks account for off-campus purchases.
Through the partnership, Off-Campus Advantage has built an off-campus merchant network and creates integrated marketing initiatives to educate students on where to use their Beak ‘Em Bucks on and off campus. The marketing leverages University communication channels and a Beak 'Em Bucks website to encourage students and parents to make deposits into the KU Card Beak 'Em Bucks account. Not only do Off-Campus Advantage merchants benefit from the targeted marketing, but they also have access to a pool of funds previously unavailable.
The University of Kansas joins a growing list of schools that includes the University of Colorado, Boulder, the University of Texas, Arlington, the University of Mississippi, and Old Dominion University that are utilizing Off-Campus Advantage’s expertise in enhancing University one-card programs and creating local merchant networks.
